Review Wednesday: SILKtage Clear Glow from EMTAGE BEAUTY; Cleansing Oil & Pre - wash Scalp Oil

Julep: June maven box. DD Creme Thoughts & Concealer Rants!

Hello! Its been a while since I have done a Julep maven box. As you know before I think I wrote about it in a previous post that I haven't been too thrilled on the boxes lately.  I choose the "Modern Beauty" box this time as it feat both of the new beauty products for one low price of $19.99 The new DD creme and the DD Concealer. I got them in the shades "Medium"

Each product retails for $36 & $32 for non maven price &  $20 something for maven price.  I have to say I was disappointed in this box and the products. My tube of concealer was empty and barely any product in it . & the DD creme was ok but not for oily or combo skin. It wore off or wore thin within 8 hours and the coverage on both was something to be desired.

The concealer would cover but  a few hours later I could see my areas which I wanted to be covered.  Many are complain about how the concealer tube is so empty. There are also may who really like the DD creme, at the end of the day it depends on the person and your skin type.

I personally feel that the DD creme is just another Tinted Moisturizer that is really over priced and you can get better one at the drugstore. The concealer can be disregarded and you can really find a better one.  You can watch my video below on my whole thoughts.

Its a shame because I usually like all of my boxes but lately left to be desired.. Let me know what you think?

Beauty Talk Friday: Do you use SPF makeup during the Summer?

Happy BTF! I know its been a couple of weeks & I am sorry.  I have been on vacay and what not but no worries..

This week's BTF topic is about SPF! I have always said its good to ALWAYS use makeup with SPF in it. No matter the season. Now that Summer is here its even more important to use SPF related products.  We need to protect our face & lips. Its delicate skin.

This was a great way to learn more about the author in case you haven't heard of him before. The rest of the book was filled with tips and great info for any women concerning her true  beauty.
