NOTD: "Lynn" by Julep

       
This NOTD is "Lynn" by Julep, I love this color, not only does it look great with my skin tone but it is such a pretty light coral color that will work great with anyone. I applied 2 coats. It is kind of sheer but 2 coats work fine.  Enjoy!

This has been a long awaited review!  Almost a month ago I bought the new Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream in Light/Medium - I bought mine from Drugstore.com , I think Its taking some time on showing up in stores.  Out of the American BB Creams the Maybelline & Smashbox are the 2 I want to try.

I knew about BB Creams for a good while before the U.S got hold of them .  They claim to have about 8 benefits for your skin, they can be used as primer or base or even replace your foundation. They are suppose to make your skin better.

Influenster: Summer Beauty VoxBox!

Hello Dolls! So As you may or may not know I was a picked again to receive & review a box vox from Influenster! It the Summer Beauty Voxbox. I was emailed a few weeks ago giving notice that I was picked, I was super excited for the fact these boxes are not totally easy to get. The box was delivered  about a week later.  The Summer Beauty Box is nice, although I have to admit I wasn't like over the moon with products. The companies included are : Hawaiian Tropic, Sally Hansen, Tampax, Quaker Oat,&  Clear Haircare.

Beauty Talk Fridays: Has your makeup routine changed for the Summer?

So we are well into summer & you look at your makeup & think " its way to hot out to put all that makeup on!" So how do you change it up?  Almost every ones makeup routine changes for the hot months its changing our clothes for the season. We go for lighter "feeling"makeup, start pulling out all the makeup that is chock full of SPF & going for Tinted Moisturizers & even changing our skincare. Its almost needed. The regular foundation starts to feel like a heavy mask.

Healthy YOU: Strawberry/Blueberry Salad

Hello my Beauties! So I am sure yall had enough of all the Nail posts! lol (don't worry I'm working on some more nail care posts)  I wanted to post about this salad that is just so delish! Its healthy & yummy!
(Note: I don't have any calories counts or anything, sorry)

It's called  a Strawberry/Blueberry salad, its simple,fast & yummy!
Prep Time: No Less than 10 mins

What You Need:

• Lettuce (I used oragnic baby lettuce with spinach)
• 4-5 Strawberry's ( more if your choose)
• Handful of Blueberries
• Italian Dressing

Julep maven: July maven box 2012

Hey dolls! I know I am late with the showing of this months Julep maven box I'm Sorry! I ordered 2 extra add-ons (which shipped separate) & I wanted to wait till I had all the items to put in this post. We also have been having bad storms that have been crippling to the state & delivery service which prolonged my delivery.  So now that's outta  the way here we go!

Julep was nice  to us mavens this month! They gave us a FREE polish for 4th of July called "America" you can see it on my 4th of July NOTD post HERE . I also switched up my box this month as well. I usually get the "Classic with a Twist" box but I loved the "American Beauty" box so much better. The colors are more nude & I love the Glitter polish. The box also came with a Lip Gloss! I also added on another lip gloss & White pearl polish.

Back with another NOTD from my Julep maven Intro box that was given to me for free to review. Sorry I have been taking a while guys been kind of busy & weather has been messing with power!

Today's NOTD is called "Eva" a nice Raspberry creme color, I love this color, this type of color goes well with my skin tone. Enjoy!

Yay! We are back with Beauty Talk Fridays! So this week's discussion is .... What products do you wish Beauty companies focused more on or make more of?

I know for me personally i wish many companies would widen their color/shade range. I don't usually have a problem finding my shade but being someone who is multi racial  with darker skin it is sad that many companies focus on certain shades or have limited shades, I know many girls who have darker skin tone then me that have to buy from only  certain companies that cater to them . I really think companies who don't have a wide range are really missing out on a whole demographic of consumer's.

Now on to NOTD's from my American Beauty Intro box that Julep.com sent me to review, It went along with the Giveaway. I wanted to focus on the Giveaway & not bombard yall with NOTD's, etc. So here we are! after the 2 NOTD's there will be a full box review!

Today's NOTD is "Renee" a spring Lilac color, I love this! So girly & great for wonderful weather.

NOTD: Happy 4th of July Nails! "America" by Julep

I wasn't going to post at first today but then I remembered my new 4th of July nail polish that Julep.com sent out to all the mavens for free! Its called "America" & you can definite see the spirit of the nation in the colors. Its a glitter  polish , I love how it has little stars in it too. Julep's glitter polish's actually are that bad to remove so no worries here!  Enjoy the day, eat good food, wear sunblock & have fun Dolls! Of course be safe too!

I added 3 coats to get a deeper Red look since the base in the glitter polish is a sheer Red.
