Beauty Talk Fridays: What is Your Fave Nail Polish brand?

Happy Friday Beauties, Its been a rough week over here & I almost wasn't going to post today but I decided to anyway.

So since I have a couple Nail Polish Huals coming up It inspired this weeks topic.

What Is Your Fave Nail Polish Brand & Why?  Mine is Julep of course & OPI, I always seem to find colors I really like with OPI & the colors I get from Julep I always like. One brand Ive been wanting to try because I love their colors is Butter London.

Sweet Deals: DIY Homemade Laundry Powder!

I know this is not exactly "Beauty-related" but I love a Sweet Deal  & this is one! Our clothes are also part of our "beauty", we want them to look,smell & feel good! So enjoy!

 This past weekend I made my own homemade laundry powder! It was so easy & inexpensive for the long run! This will be 2 parts, today's post will be on how to make the laundry powder & the next post will be decorating the 2 gallon jug I bought to put the mixture in.  In total I spent $22.28 the ingredient's for the powder was $12.31. The laundry powder is enough for 120 loads!

Your clothes are going to be so clean & smell fresh! You will notice that your clothes feel "lighter" because you dont have all the chemicals that regular laundry detergents have. Not only will you feel better about washing your clothes for you & your family but this is great for people with sensitive skin & allergies to the stuff in regular laundry soap!

The one ingredient that may change depending on personal preference is the bar soap,  You can use Kirks Castile soap, Fels-Naptha,or Ivory Soap or any other natural soap you choose. I used Kirks Castile & Fels-Naptha which I added later.  You can also add Oxy clean too if you prefer.  The great thing is that  this makes enough for 120 loads & you only need 2 tablespoons! Its low-suds, works fine for HE washers & Top load washers.  Now for the pictures with Instructions... Have Fun!

NOTD: "Piper" by Julep

Happy Tuesday!  I am so happy to report I am typing from my new laptop! I am in love.So while I am in the process of learning this new laptop & files etc I decided to post a new NOTD for you guys! I know its late but concerning the circumstances ( new laptop ) its still here! This is a fresh NOTD , its called "piper" by Julep from my August box ( pics  of that will be up soon) I got my box super late due a shipping issue with USPS.
Its an metallic Teal color. I didn't know how sheer it was until I applied the first coat, It looks good with 2 but I did 3 to achieve this look. This looks like a great color that is versatile for either Summer or Fall.
BTW it reminds me of The Little Mermaid ! (Fave Disney Movie) Enjoy!

Happy Monday beauty lovers! I hope your weekends was well. Mine went pretty good.  I got a couple packages in so stay tuned for some major hauls coming up!

 Happy Friday ! I swear Fridays be coming around so quick! I hope your week has been well!

This week's topic is "Where Do You Find Your Beauty Inspiration?" Do you find it in celebs, tv,book, magazines or even just walking down the street?

Mine are so vast, I find beauty inspiration almost anywhere, I take different things I like from celebs ( how they wear their makeup, hair, etc) what I see on the street,tv & I incorporate into my own style.

NOTD: "Kate" by Julep

Hey Beauties, the weekend is almost here yay! So today's NOTD is called "Kate"by Julep . A nice pearlized white color. I used 2 coats but to be honest I could have used another coat. The polish is streaky somewhat but after the 2nd coat it get better, I  just suggest using 3 coats to get a great full white color. Enjoy & chat with ya tomorrow for Beauty Talk Friday!

Skin Care; My Weekly SkinCare mask Routine & Products

Happy Monday Beauties! I hope the weekend was enjoyable for you all. As  I was doing my weekly face mask yesterday, I thought " I have never posted about my routine & products" I have been asked this before.  There are many benefits of doing a weekly face mask, it removes all the impurities & makes your skin better therefore when you apply your makeup it looks better.

I do a face mask every Sunday or Monday, but I try to do it at least once a week so my skin is ready for the week ahead & that's when I have down time. I really see a difference in my skin when I do a skin mask that week and when I don't. In the pictures below you will see the products that I use I will also explain how I use them. Enjoy!

These are all my products I use in whole- I use 2 different facial moisturizers which depend on my need for the day.

Haul: Carol's Daughter"Hair Milk" & "Mimosa Hair Honey"

Hello Beauties, Just wanted to do a quick post to show you guys a little haul that was done recently, its from Carols Daughter, If you haven't heard of them they are a Natural Brand with many products for Afro-American hair, & Skin, but don't worry the products can be used for anyone. The products are a little pricey but the products I have tried before in the past have been worth it.

I bought 2 products online, they were recently offering Free Shipping. I m on the hunt for some good staple Curly Hair products. When I went on their site I seen they have relaunched & reformulated their Hair Milk. Ive been hearing this is great for curls & I wanted a good moisturizer to use besides my An-gel by Devacurl. I bought the Hair milk 8.0z $20.00 which is pricey but using it is worth it ( more on that later) I also bought the Mimosa Hair Honey 8.oz for $17.00 (Note i bought this on sale for $11.00) Ill be doing reviews soon!

Beauty Talk Friday: What Your Fave Under-Rated Makeup Brand/

Happy Friday Beauties! It seems like I was just doing BTF yesterday! Well this week I decided that I really want to hear about some Under-Rated beauty brands. Brands that you don't usually know about but are great & are like a hidden treasures.

I am always on the hunt for great beauty brands, I love stumbling upon a company that offers great products & even great prices. As a beauty blogger /mark rep love helping to get a company/brand out there in the open.

Review Wednesdays: e.l.f Lip Exfoliator

Happy Wednesday Beauties! Its hump day so I'm here to give a ya review to help ya get over it!

Today I will be doing a review on e.l.f 's Lip Exfoliator it retails for about $3.00 on the eyeslipsface website. Its a relativity new product on the site.  I have tried the Lush brand of lip exfoliator & making my own, so when I seen this product I loved how it came in the shape of a lipstick. I thought it was so convenient & less messy then scooping product out.

Curly Haircare: 2 months of No- Shampoo.. so far

If you have been keeping yourself updated with my curly haircare routine, you know that I stopped using shampoo about a good 2 months ago, I have also gotten my hair cut around the same time as well. Well I have been getting so many questions on Youtube,Twitter & here about my new hair routine. Ill be posting about  that shortly with a video as well.

So why STOP using Shampoo? Well its simple - Shampoo isn't good for your hair! If you look at the ingredients list on many of the shampoos many of them contain sulfates & silicone's which for curly hair  is no bueno! Curls need moisture & good conditioning. The harshness of the sulfates & other chemicals strip the curls of the moisture & doesn't replace it. This causes frizz & dryness! Curly hair is porous,The biggest things I have learned about the proper care of Curly Hair is that conditioning  my curly hair is #1 . That is the main thing that  must be done. Curls need more moisture & conditioner than straight hair .

The first day I stopped using shampoo & stopped coming my hair I seen instant change & what a difference!  You can see pictures here . The shapes of my curls was different & my hair was softer, my scalp felt clean  & light   & most of all my hair didn't feel dry!

Welcome to the first edition of  "Review Wednesday's" ! I have so many products that are waiting to be reviewed , I thought I would start a weekly segment here that is dedicated to reviewing a product each week! ( All previous reviews will be filed under "Review Wednesday's") I will also be using a new rating system using stars ( kind of working to see what I like more)  Enjoy!

The first product up for review is  CoverGirl's Lash Blast Fusion in "Very Black", It' s the Purple Tube in case you didn't know. This is the only one I have tried from the CoverGirl "Lash Blast" line.  I currently have no interest in the other Lash Blast mascara's.
